REDUCING OUR IMPACT

Green Movement – In 2020 we started to reduce our waste as we became more aware of how much we waste on a daily basis. By changing our every day habits one step at a time, we are doing our best to help care for our planet :

ENERGY

In 2019 we changed all our lighting in the salon to LED to reduce our electricity consumption. We now have censored lightening in our least frequent areas.

 

TOWELS

We use biodegradable & compostable hair-towels by ‘EasyDry‘ all made from super-soft plant-fibre – they are super hygienic / have huge water-saving compared to laundered.

 

WATER

Water conservation policy in place. New innovative water reducing shower heads are now installed. Fresh & filtered water-station in-salon removing the need to purchase bottled-water. We are proud to be part of Refill.co.uk.

 

PRODUCTS & PACKAGING

We stock Davines – a B-Corp company providing a beautiful range of Ethical and Eco respectful products. Our Aluminium Foil, colour tubes & lids are all recycled in our local Recycling Centre.

 

COLOUR WASTE

By using Vish, all colour is calculated by how much product is used on the day so you will only be charged for what colour is used. This helps to cut down on our product wastage and charge accordingly as no two guests are the same.

 

RECYCLABLE WASTE

We use waste-sorting bins through-out the building. We work hard to separate and recycle as much as possible.

NON-RECYCLABLE WASTE

We use waste-sorting bins through-out the building. Finally any small amount of materials left over that cannot be recycled/ composted are removed.

We love to use as many local suppliers as we can to cut down on delivery distance but also it’s just good to support our business’s and communities.
